Six years in the making, the idea for the website kept me awake, tossing and turning for months and months. I must have done 30 or 40 layouts and annoyed all my design friends about their UX notes… just trying to scratch at something next level.
Then when the pandemic hit I hunkered down and got it published in the summer of 2020. It took many different turns that I wasn’t expecting, but athoughtbytim.com is artisanally 3D-rendered, vectorized, and hand-coded, all by yours truly—using only a hint of HTML and a dash of CSS (other than the subtle animations)!
